It is time dust off the old ukulele and make sure it still has four strings because this Sunday we are at it again. We are back at Chuckles Jack Restaurant in Smiths Falls. Have a look through the Daily Ukulele Book and pick out a few you would like us to play. If you would like you can lead them (only if you want to though). Some of us will be there at 5:30 for dinner and the music will, as usual, start at 6:30. Bring a new person and receive the adoration of the rest of the group!
See you there
Garry and Bridget
The Jam at our home on June 29th went off very well. The living room was full but no one had to stand thank goodness. We also saw some LUGs that we hadn’t seen for a while. To top the evening off, Jim made it with his big bass. The room vibrated to the great low bass sound.
The next jam on July 20th is still set to be held at Chuckles Jack so mark your calendar. As usual its 5:30 for dinner and 6:30 for the music.
See you there.
Remember that The Lug Jam tomorrow is at our house. we are looking forward to seeing you.
We just heard from Chuckles Jack Restaurant that they will be closed on the 29th as when we booked the date they didn’t realize it is a long weekend.
Instead Bridget and I will host the Jam at our home starting at the usual time of 6:30.
We should have enough room and chairs so just bring yourself and a libation if desired.
Those Lugs who don’t know where we live can email us at: email@example.com and I will forward you directions. We live between Smiths Falls and Perth.
Hope to see you all here.
Garry and Bridget
We have confirmed the next 4 Lug Jam dates with our meeting place, Chuckles Jack Restaurant. Reminders will be sent out to you as each Jam draws near, but this is an opportunity to add your Jam dates to your calendar.
June 29, 2014
July 20, 2014
August 24, 2014
September 28, 2014
As always, the Jam starts at 6:30 p.m.
If you are coming for dinner first, we suggest you get there for 5:30 p.m. so you can eat and have your table cleared by 6:30.
We plan to be using the Daily Ukulele book and The Albany Song Book for most of our playing. If you have special song requests, then bring about 20 copies so we can all play.
As well, if you would like to treat us to a solo performance, please let us know by email to this site beforehand and we can set up a slot for you.
Are you ready for tonight? Is your Uke tuned? Do you have a table stand? Got a Daily Ukulele Book? Down loaded your Albany Beginner book at http://albanyukulele.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/songbook15.pdf ? Remember. If you are having dinner at Chuckles Jack it’s best to be there closer to 5:30 so you can enjoy the food before we start to strum at 6:30.
Drag a friend along. See you there!
